“I believe everyone has magic! We just need to tap in the things that bring us joy and let go of the expectation of perfection but rather live as your most authentic self”.

Adriana has been teaching Zumba in the Bay Area since 2014.

Adriana has been a lifestyle portrait photographer since 2008 and loves collaborating with others to celebrate their magic! Check out Adriana’s photography work! Adriana Oyarzun Photography

Growing up between Venezuela & Miami, music & dancing was always part of Adriana’s life. Dance has been the constant that always takes her to her happy place and it’s extra special when she’s able to share that joy with others.

Moving to the Bay Area in 2005 to get her BFA in photography and missing home Adriana hit the jackpot when she walked into a Zumba class at the YMCA and met Andreina. She was able to connect with a fellow Venezuelan who also loves to dance and found a space where she could get lost in the fun music, create community and always leave class happy and feeling extra alive. This is what motivates her to create a space where others can have a similar experience where they are welcome, seen and celebrated.

While becoming a mom of two, Mia & Nina; Adriana got to focus on her family and on the things that bring her joy; photography & dance. In the last couple of years, Adriana has gone full force in making her dreams a reality of having her own photography business connecting with others to collaborate and capture their magic in photographs and teach Zumba where she gets to share the joy and power of dance with others. Adriana has an amazing ability to connect with people and make them feel comfortable in their own skin to get lost in the joy of the moment.

Join Adriana for a fun workout and let loose while you dance like no one is watching.

About Andreina Febres

Andreina

Growing up in Venezuela, Andreina was passionate about exercise & dance. She moved to the States when she was 21 to learn English and has turned one of her passions into one of her multiple jobs.

“I love to connect with people & share my joy for Latin music & dance and I’ve learned to meditate & practice Yoga to connect back with myself to find the balance I need”

Andreina grew up in Caracas, Venezuela and is the youngest of 4 sisters. She came to the States for a few months to learn English in 1999 and fell in love with the Bay Area. She loved the diversity of the area and decided to find a way to stay longer by finishing her Business degree at Cal State East Bay (known as Cal State Hayward). She worked as an au pair to afford living in the Bay Area as a student. She worked at a Hispanic Marketing Agency until 2010 and started a family in 2011. She’s the mother of two boys, Javier & Carlos. Her husband, Rafael, is always encouraging her to follow her dreams so she actually LOVES her jobs.

Andreina has been the Project Manager of the Clorox Safe Water Project in Peru since 2013 & travels to Northern Peru twice a year to visit rural communities that benefit from this effort. This job has impacted her life and her desire to support other people that are in need.

Andreina’s mother battled cancer & passed away in 2009. Since then, this experience woke up a need in her to support women dealing with cancer. She also joined a Zumba training at the end of 2009 and started to teach in Berkeley. One of her students was dealing with cancer, and in 2014 they co-funded a non-profit organization, Dancing Saved My Life. With their community’s support, they organize local events & fundraisers to raise enough money to host two local retreats at Commonweal in Bolinas, Ca, to offer wellness retreats to women dealing with cancer. Andreina loves to travel and has combined her passion for teaching with traveling and has been offering international retreats to her friends/students since 2014, visiting Tulum MX, Cuba, Costa Rica, Peru & Chacala, MX. The next adventure will be in Colombia (initially planned for July 2020 but had to reschedule to 2021 due to COVID-19 status).
